Hong Kong Fashion Group IT Introduced: Maison Martin Margiela Beijing 798 Exhibition

Maison Martin Margiela was founded in Paris in 1988 and then developed from Belgium to Japan, the United Kingdom, the United States, Taiwan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Italy and the Chinese mainland. Twenty years later, with the introduction of Hong Kong Fashion Group IT, a retrospective exhibition entitled "Maison Martin Margiela Beijing Exhibition" will be opened in Beijing 798 Art Zone from June 13th to July 1st, 2008.

The 798 Art Zone is located in Jiuxianqiao 718 Courtyard, northeast of Chaoyang District, Beijing. It was originally a radio equipment factory aided by Germany in the 1950s. Due to its unique Bauhaus architectural style and traditional industrial environment, since 2002, various artists and companies have settled in the empty factories here, and they have transformed this former factory into an art gallery. Art studios, cultural companies, and fashion shops are all in one place. Nowadays, the 798 Art District has become a representative image of Chinese contemporary art both at home and abroad, and is relished by many artists and art lovers.
