Lenzing Introduces New Environmentally Friendly Fibers

Lenzing developed a new environmentally friendly fiber, Modal Edelweiss, which claims to be produced using an innovative, eco-friendly manufacturing technology. The technology is named Edelweiss and has environmental advantages such as “carbon neutrality” and less land demand, which can produce true ecological fiber.

Lenzing stated that Modal Edelweiss' fiber production process is the same as that of traditional Modal fiber, and its performance, such as performance, softness, and high-quality color, are even the same in the textile supply chain.

Andreas Dorner, head of global marketing at Lenzing, said: “Our manufacturing facility is the only fully integrated factory in the world with all production processes from pulp to fiber. The production process of Modal Edelweiss meets the highest environmental standards.”

It is reported that Lenzing will officially launch Modal Edelweiss in the autumn, and will initially produce according to the order quantity of customers.
